Day 10 of 33 Days to Morning Glory

THE ASSUMPTIONWho are you, O Immaculate Conception? (part two)

This was very interesting for me to consider that Mary is totally indwelt with the Holy Spirit and is the spouse of the Holy Spirit, therefore, she takes His name of Immaculate Conception.

What a great reflection on today the Solemnity of the Assumption of Mary.

From Saint of the Day by AmericanCatholic.org:

On November 1, 1950, Pius XII defined the Assumption of Mary to be a dogma of faith: “We pronounce, declare and define it to be a divinely revealed dogma that the immaculate Mother of God, the ever Virgin Mary, having completed the course of her earthly life, was assumed body and soul to heavenly glory.” The pope proclaimed this dogma only after a broad consultation of bishops, theologians and laity. There were few dissenting voices. What the pope solemnly declared was already a common belief in the Catholic Church.

I hope everyone can get to mass today, a holy day of obligation. Thanks to Louise for sending all the local mass times.

Happy Feast of the Assumption.
August 15th is a very special day for Catholics around the globe. It is so important it becomes like a Sunday and we are obliged, or shall I say privileged to attend Mass on that day.
Be there, be filled with grace!
