Leawood, Kansas Parish group consecrates

left to right:  Sara Hicks, Glenn Wells, Joan Wells, Sharon Nicely, and Chris Nicely.

September 7, the eve of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a group of friends from St. Michael the Archangel parish in Leawood, Kansas consecrated to Jesus through Mary using Fr. Michael Gaitley's book 33 Days to Morning Glory. The met at the parish's Mary Chapel to pray the consecration prayer together with their parochial vicar Fr. Daniel Schmitz.

This is a unique group. They originally came together for Renew 2000 and then did bible studies together. In all, they have been meeting almost 15 years. Glenn Wells writes "out of all the studies we have done so far, the 33 Days to Morning Glory was one of the most spiritual journey's we have taken.  Mary is now part of each of our daily prayer."

There will be many more groups consecrating from Kansas City, KS archdiocese as Archbishop Naumann recently announced that he desires the entire diocese to consecrate December 8. CLICK HERE for more details.
